Mezzino Photography Photographing beautiful Weddings in Adelaide and beyond... Hey thanks for coming over to check out my blog on `Questions to ask a Wedding Photographer..` So you have a meeting coming up with your prospective Wedding Photographer.. What should you ask them...? I have put together a list of questions that i have been asked in the past and that i think are important things you should know before entering in to an agreement and signing a contract. I do highly recommend that you meet up with whoever you are considering to be your Wedding Photographer...after all you are going to be spending a lot of time together and it is important that you feel comfortable with that person which will then be reflected in your photos on the day. For the sake of this discussion I will write this as though we are meeting and you are asking me your questions... What is your ABN number? 53 381 581 462 Are you Insured ? Yes, I have full public liability insurance through AAMI. Do you require a deposit? Yes I do ask for a 50% deposit with the remaining balance to be paid a month prior to your Wedding.. I do understand that you are probably paying out a number of deposits at this time and am always happy to negotiate to help make things a little easier for you both. Will you supply us with a contract? Yes, this is a very important part of our arrangement, the contract stipulates exactly what you can expect from me as your photographer as well as what I will need from you on the day in order to do my absolute best for you. How long will I have to wait to get my photos? Usually around 4-5 weeks as per your contract although you can expect some ` sneek peeks` within a few days after your Wedding. Will you be my photographer on the day? Yes, I am a solo operator and I will be your photographer on the day. What is included in your packages? Every package is a little different and it pretty much all depends on your budget and what time frame suits you.. i am always happy to custom build a package to suit your timeframe and budget. What sets you apart from other photographers? My passion, my attention to detail and my genuine love for each and every Wedding that I shoot and the desire to get it absolutely right for you with a minimum of hassle... Even after all these years I still get a thrill out of the click of the shutter button and the anticipation of sending you a great set of images from your day... I put my heart and soul into each and every Wedding I shoot and I love it when my clients tell me how much they love their photos... Are you familiar with our venue? I have shot Weddings at many venues in and around Adelaide...if I am not familiar with your venue then I will always go there prior to your Wedding to look for the best photo opportunities...this will help the day to run smoothly with less stress for you (and for me). Even better if you have time to meet me so that we can discuss any photo opportunities. Dont be afraid to meet your photographer armed with a list of questions similiar to these...most likely you will be paying a good amount of money for their service and you should know all of the in`s and out`s of the deal and exactly what it is you are paying for. If you would like to get together for a relaxed , no obligation chat about how you see your day being photographed please dont hesitate to contact me at any time..my shout for coffee!!

You have provided a great insight mate. I think hiring a professional wedding photographer is a necessity unless you have someone in your family who can do the job for it. Yes getting married is costly but I don't think anyone will mind the extra bucks you have to shell out to hire a photographer to capture all the special moments.

As an interstate couple getting married (live in WA but getting married in SA) we put the shout out that we were looking for a photographer who could understand our situation, be great with communication and who could work without having a formal introduction.
From the very first interaction with Mark we were put at ease, he was one of the very few photographers who took the time to call us instead of just sending through a generic pricelist, which was huge for us.
He was very easy to work with and was able to adopt tactics into the day to help not only the kids focus on the camera but the groom also.
If your the type of person who just wants to relive the photo moments quickly then no need to worry, Mark had a selection of photos sent to us within a day and the entire package within the week. We can't fault his work or his efficiency and we are really happy with the results.
