choosing your wedding photographer

Choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision, maybe one of the biggest you will make regarding your wedding day and it is important to get this one right.
Once the food and drinks are finished and your guests have all gone home...apart from each other the only thing that will be left are your photos and all those precious moments...
So how do you decide which photographer to use, hopefully i can help you a little...

Of course the first thing to do is to look at their past work, check out their website, facebook page and of course their instagram feed...if you like what you see, give them a call, find out if they are available on your date and if so arrange to meet up face to face.
I really enjoy meeting a newly engaged couple for the first time,i feed off of their excitement and get excited myself discussing their ideas and the type of photos they are looking for, working out a rough plan of how the wedding day will unfold and just getting to know each other a little- this is so important because if we are going to spend pretty much the whole day together it is best if you are comfortable and relaxed with me which will then be reflected in the photos...

Of course be sure to check out their reviews...these are usually a pretty good indication of what you can expect from them ....

And finally something i have learned over the years...you generally get what you pay for, in other words going for the cheapest option is not always the best ,these are your `forever moments `so be prepared to pay a little more for quality and experience and i promise the extra expense will long be forgotten when you are enjoying those wonderful memories in the years to come:)

As an interstate couple getting married (live in WA but getting married in SA) we put the shout out that we were looking for a photographer who could understand our situation, be great with communication and who could work without having a formal introduction.
From the very first interaction with Mark we were put at ease, he was one of the very few photographers who took the time to call us instead of just sending through a generic pricelist, which was huge for us.
He was very easy to work with and was able to adopt tactics into the day to help not only the kids focus on the camera but the groom also.
If your the type of person who just wants to relive the photo moments quickly then no need to worry, Mark had a selection of photos sent to us within a day and the entire package within the week. We can't fault his work or his efficiency and we are really happy with the results.
