When you capture a christening what part of the day is the most special?
For me the most special part of the day is in the home before we head off to the church, close friends and family are involved in getting bubs ready for the day and photos of everyone interacting with each other and dressing the baby in the christening gown and putting on the shoes and accessories are very special, these moments will never happen again.
Talk us through being a part of a christening, how does the day begin?
The day generally begins in the home before we head off to the church and reception.
We take photos of friends and family usually in the bedroom where the godparents will dress the baby and everyone will have their photo taken with bubs and then it`s off to the church for the ceremony.
What is your favourite memory from a christening you’ve captured?
My favourite memory is from a Greek Orthodox ceremony during the Immersion when little Ariana was upside down about to be Immersed and she looked straight into the camera for me, its one of my favourite shots, you can see it here.
Once you’ve been a part of such an important milestone do you keep in touch?
Yes, we do keep in touch. I think it is nice to follow up from time to time to see how the little one is going and to make sure all is well. We have even had the pleasure of being invited to family birthday parties to capture the next milestone birthday etc, it's nice to document the family's story.
